Dear Friend,

Thank you for expressing an interest in working with Jackson County CASA, Inc. Our CASA volunteers will tell you that being a trained Court advocate is one of the most rewarding endeavors they have ever experienced.

To insure the credibility and integrity of each volunteer, National CASA has mandated rules and process requirements that each applicant must meet in order to be accepted for the training program. The process includes: completion of application and background checks which include fingerprinting with the local Sheriff’s Department, reference checks, and screening process.

Attached you will find an application. If you have any questions before completing the application, please don’t hesitate to call our office. Either I or any of the CASA staff will be able to assist you. Upon completion, bring or mail your application to the CASA office.

I will also need to make a photo copy of your driver’s license and social security card for our files. This can be done when you bring the application to the office or on the first day of training.

Thank you again for showing an interest in working with our program. I look for- ward to having you join our wonderful group of dedicated volunteers.
